5 Months Old!

Hallie is 5 Months!!

At 5 Months Hallie:

has started rice cereal! And she LOVES it!!

She has rolled over both ways!

But she still doesn't like being on her tummy for very long so she doesn't tend to roll over from her back to tummy much.

She also got her ears pierced!!!

Last week we went up to Kaysville to have a sleepover at Grandma & Grandpa's while Daddy was working really REALLY late and decided to get her ears pierced. I have been wanting to do this for a while now.

She wanted to pick out her own! :)

She was so TIRED! So I knew we needed to get them done before her nap. Look how tired she looks.

She cried right when they did it! but then she was totally fine after she got her binky and "Woobie".

Then she fell right to sleep! In the picture right above you can't even tell she has them pierced when you look straight at her because of her cute cubby cheeks! hahaha

-Hallie has also started to sleep through the night (for the most part) She goes to bed at 8 and sleeps until 6:30. Then I nurse her and she will go back to sleep until 8. LOVE these days!

-Hallie puts EVERYTHING in her mouth!

-she wants anything I have especially food or my cup, she loves to put the cup up to her mouth and suck on the edge.

- She loves story time before bed and unless I have her arms wrapped in her blanket all she wants to do is put the book in her mouth.

-she is constantly grunting and trying to talk.

-She definitely knows who her mommy is. If i leave the room or am not paying 100% of my attention on her she grunts or tries to get my attention. Or if a stranger looks at her or starts talking to her she will either look around trying to find me or start screaming!

-She loves to sit up! she thinks she is a big girl and can sit up all by herself but not quite almost. If i try to lay her down she just tightens her stomach muscles and tries to sit up on her own.

-We bought her a highchair and she LOVES this! She got sick of the bumbo because she wasn't up high enough to see everything going on. also she always sat in it weird and I was always afraid she was going to climb out of it.

-She loves her "woobie" also know as her burp cloth. She sleeps with it every night and tickles her face with it until she falls asleep.

-She gets really excited and giggles if you clap at her!

-LOVES daddy! The second he walks in the door from work she wont take her eyes off of him until he says hi to her then she just smile and laughs! she has him wrapped around her finger.

-she is scared of the vacuum and treadmill!

-she will only nurse in the night and first thing in the morning now. I am hoping to get to 6 months before its all gone! :)

Hallie is such a good baby and she is a VERY happy baby! We love her So much and love watching her grow up and learn new things!

4 MONTHS and check up!

HALLIE is 4 Months!!

Weight: 13.3 lbs 38%

Height: 24 in 36%

haha she's got her dad's big jango head! Gotta love it!

She also got 2 more shots!! Geez poor girl! After her other 2 shots last week this girl is beginning to hate the Dr's office!

We also started her on rice cereal tonight!

She LOVED it! although it was really messy! I couldn't get it into her mouth fast enough but she couldn't quite understand the concept of the spoon. So we ended up just putting it in her bottle and she chugged it! I know we probably should have done that in the first place but it was fun to see her try and eat it from a spoon.

At 4 month this little girl sure can smile! She hasn't quite figured out how to laugh she has only done it a couple times and Aunt Hillary is the one who has gotten her to do it! But she is getting really close.

She loves to put anything and everything in her mouth to chew on it even her toes! That girl sure is flexible i think it is mainly due to her being breach. She still lays there with her legs up in the air.

She sleeps somewhat good (not so good in last couple weeks being sick) she normally wakes up once to eat and a couple other times just needing a binky. I can't complain too much.

She hasn't rolled over yet but is getting really close. She has HATED tummy time until just recently so I think it will happen any day.

She loves her mommy and daddy! She has been a lot more clingy since she has been sick and only want mom or dad around strangers and big crowds.

She loves toys and reading books with mommy and daddy.

She is such a good baby and we LOVE her so much! I can't believe how fast she is growing and she learns new things everyday!

Being sick is NO fun!

The week before Christmas my mom, dad, and Hill came to watch Hallie while Matt and I went to his company Christmas party. Yes all THREE of them wanted to watch little Hallie! Love it! Well While we were gone they took these pictures of Hallie. They turned out so cute and my mom framed this one below to put up in her room.

I LOVE this one! She looks like she is one years old!

Even though she was sick and had a high fever they turned out so cute and so fun!

That night she was really sick and it was over the weekend so we just watched her but her fever keep going up. She got up to 103! We keep giving her tylenol but her fever keep spiking. I got really worried so Monday morning I took her into the Dr. he told us to just watch her and keep giving her Tylenol but if her fever continued to come back Wednesday and they would put a catheter in and test her urine to see if it was a UTI.

Well her fever continued and she was miserable. So we went back monday to test her urine. Poor thing did NOT like that!!! He put her on an antibiotic but wouldn't know for sure if it was the right antibiotic until Friday when they got the results back. Well the next day she was still miserable and she stopped eating! I was feeling SO SO bad for her! Here we are almost a week later and she still was not getting any better. So I called and talked to the nurse and said she had stopped eating and that I was getting concerned. She talked to the Dr and called me back and said to bring her in right then cause they wanted to give her a shot of antibiotics. This would help get the medicine in quicker! That night she started to feel a lot better! Her temp went back down and she started to eat again.

The next day we got the results back and sure enough she has a UTI. He said that this is not normal for a four month old to have a UTI so he wants to send her to the hospital next week to have some tests done to make sure there is nothing wrong with her bladder or kidneys or that her urine is not refluxing back up into her kidneys. They will have to put in a catheter in again and do some ultrasounds and x-rays. But also the antibiotic he gave her in the first place was the wrong kind so on our way out of town for Christmas we stopped by his office and they gave her another shot and a different prescription.

Poor little girl has had a hard week! I have felt SO bad for her and many time wished I could take her place. UTI's are very painful and she would just scream and scream and scream. I felt horrible because there wasn't much I could do for her except keep up on the Tylenol. So even though both Hallie and I have not been getting much sleep I still Love this little one more than anything in the whole world. I just hope next week goes well and all the test come back normal.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

After our own little Christmas we headed up to Kaysville for Christmas Eve and Christmas with my family. On Christmas Eve morning we took my Grandma Hagen out for her Birthday.

Hillary's boyfriend's family gave Hallie this cute little "Baby's First Christmas" hat. She looked so cute!

Then it was off to Grandma and Grandpa Hill's for the annual Christmas Eve party. Hallie was a little fussy from being sick that week but she love Cousin Carrie. She went to no one else but her! It was so cute.

After opening presents with my family we headed up to Park City with Matt's Mom, Dad, sister, and Aunt Kerrie. We stayed up there for a couple days and just hung out went to the outlets and of course got a carmel apple. No pictures because my camera died! Dang IT!!

For Christmas this year we were going to be with both of our families Christmas Eve and Christmas day so Christmas Eve Eve we did our own Christmas with just Hallie. It was little but it was still fun with just the three of us.

Thanksgiving in Deming New Mexico

This year for Thanksgiving we headed down to Deming New Mexico for Matt's family reunion. Matt grew up on a farm down there. We were so excited to take Hallie this year. On our way down there we made a few extra stops. We had to stop a lot with Hallie so we tried to make it fun and stop at some fun places along the way. Our first stop was:

I have driven past this place many times but have never stopped. It was pretty cool. We even did the tour of the house. I thought it was pretty interesting. After the tour we walked around and then ate our lunch and headed back on the road. After a few more hours we stopped at:

Four Corners! I had never been here before either! I was loving our fun little road trip and Hallie was being such a good girl! Matt was totally indulging me in my fun! If if were up to him we would never stop. He just wanted to get there! hahaha but I think he appreciate it in the long run. :)

Hallie was so happy to be out of the car! She was being silly and pulling funny faces.

That night we stopped at a hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Funny story we were going to stop in Los Lunus but Matt missed the exit by 20 minutes and we had made reservations there at a hotel but this point Hallie had had it in the car so I just told him to get off the next exit and find us a hotel. So we stayed in a little getto hotel, but we didnt care we were just happy to be out of the car!

The next morning we only had four hours to go! Once we got there we were so happy to see everyone. We love being in Deming and Matt loved to be back on the farm. Cass (Matt's uncle) didnt waste anytime and put him straight to work on the farm but Matt loved it. The next few days were filled with fun, family, and turkey.

Matt even took us for a tractor ride. A must when we are down there!

Oh and the other reason we went down to Deming and according to Matt the MOST important reason for going was for Irma's! Matt's FAVORITE mexican restaurant!!! He talks about this place all the time! If it was up to him we would have eaten there everyday including Thanksgiving dinner.

Hallie 3 Months

This is little Hallie at 3 Months! She is getting so big and SO fun! She has been smiling a lot more this month and starting coo. Hallie weighs 11 lbs 3 oz this months! She still fits into most of her newborn clothes but they are getting a little tight. But she has grown out of her newborn pajamas. It was sad to see them go!

Hallie at 1 month and 2 Months

So I realized in my last post that I didn't post Hallie's one month picture to compare and I thought I had posted it on an earlier post but didn't. Guess that pregnancy brain never really goes away huh?! Well here it is! I can't believe how fast she grew in a month!

She is really starting to coo a lot this week! It makes us laugh! She is also starting to discover her hands. They are always in her mouth and I catch her staring at them all the time trying to get them to grab stuff! It is a lot of fun watching her discover and learn new things.

2 Months and Shots

Hallie is 2 Months! I cannot believe how fast it has gone and how big she is getting! She has started to smile now and is trying very hard to laugh. It is so funny!

She also had her 2 month shots this week and it was SO sad! The first shot she got she cried just a little, the second one she looked at me like what the heck was that, and the third shot she just screamed! I felt so bad for her! But as soon as i picked her up and cuddled her she fell asleep. The rest of the day she was pretty sad and fussy so I gave her some Tylenol and just held her! I am so glad that day is over!

Hallie's Blessing

We Blessed Hallie on October 9, 2011. It was such a great day and Matt Did such a great job! Hallie is SO lucky to have Matt as a daddy! He loves her SO much! I am so grateful that Matt holds the Priesthood and was able to bless our little girl and is able to give our little family Priesthood blessings.

Hallie's Birth Story

It has taken me a few days to write her birth story because I am just loving holding her and playing with her. Ok... and sleeping when she sleeps.

It is hard to believe that it has been almost 3 week since Hallie was born. Time has flown. It is weird because the weeks leading up to her arrival I could not imagine my life with a brand new baby and now I cannot imagine my life without her! We are having so much fun with her.

Hallie was born on August 23, 2011 @ 7:53am. We checked into the hospital at 6:00am that morning for a scheduled C-section. I feeling both really excited and really nervous! I could not believe this was it. When we got there I put on my cute little cover up which by the way was super hot. I felt like I was wearing a plastic grocery bag. I got my IV which by the way hurt way more than my spinal. They did one more ultrasound to make sure she still was breech and sure enough she was. I could have told them that. Then my family walked in the door. I was happy they were there to be with us!

...it was time. I was so NERVOUS at this point because they wouldn't let Matt in with me until they prep me. I really wanted him to be with me when I got my spinal because I was terrified of it. I was shaking uncontrollably as I sat on the table waiting for the spinal. It was SO uncomfortable not so much painful just really uncomfortable. But once it took effect I felt great! Then they let Matt in and I was so relieved to see him. Once they started it took only a few minutes and then she was here! I of course couldn't see anything but matt just keep saying she is here! She is here! and then he walked over to where they were cleaning her up.

It felt like forever before they brought her over to me! Then I saw her for the first time! and WOW!! It was the most amazing feeling ever! I couldn't believe she was here and that she was mine! Then they took her away and Matt went with her to the nursery. on the way to the nursery Matt was able to show her off to the family. As I laid there getting sewed up I just could wait to see her again.

They took me back to my labor and delivery room to recover before they took me downstairs to my room. But all the rooms were full so I had to stay up stairs for a while. I was so bummed because all I wanted to do was see my baby! So my nice nurse said she would bring her up to me until my room was ready. I was so excited when they brought her to me! All I could do was just cry. It was such a cool moment with Matt, her and me. We finally had our baby girl with us and we were a family.

I just love her so much and I am so happy she is here with us! Everything went really smoothly. I was in the hospital for 4 days which was nice. Especially since she wasn't eating all that well and she lost 10% of her weight she got down to 6lbs 13 oz. It was pretty stressful trying to figure it all out. The pediatrician was a little worried but we keep working at it! When we left the hospital she was doing much better and had gained an ounce back. now she is back to her birth weight! :)

Matt is such a great dad and he LOVES his little girl! We are so lucky to have her here with us! She is a great baby. Usually only fusses when she is hungry and wakes up every 3 hours or so to eat and then goes right back to sleep. I love holding her and being with her all day! I am going to be really sad when I have to go back to work! :)

39 Weeks!

38 Weeks! Update

So I just got back from my doctors appointment and still no luck she is still breech and hasn't flipped!

Last week we discussed some options as what we could do if she didn't by this week. He said we could try for an inversion where they would manually try to flip her. They would have to give me an epidural for this procedure because it can be very uncomfortable and also if something were to happen and I would need an emergency c-section I would already have it. It also includes 2 doctors pushing and pulling and maneuvering her all around (this does not sound so fun) or just doing a c- section. If the inversion were to work they would break my water right then and induce my labor so she would have the chance to flip back. So my doctor has scheduled my inversion/ possible c-section for next week AUGUST 23!! That is a week before my actual due date! He told me that next week (this week) he would do an ultrasound to check to see if there was even enough fluid to do the inversion if not it would have to be a C-section.

So today at my appointment he did the ultrasound and said there would be a 50% chance that the inversion would work and that I had a normal amount of fluid. But it was still up to me whether I wanted to just have a c-section or try for the inversion. Matt and I have been thinking about it a lot this week and trying to make the decision. At first I was really disappointed that I may not be able to deliver normally or at least try then I went to well, a c-section would be quicker and less risk to the baby going in to distress or dropping heart rate. If I do the inversion and it doesn't work then it goes from being a normal c-section to an emergency c-section or if it did work then I could be in labor for a long time and then may or may not have to have a c-section anyway. So I have been getting a lot of opinions on this matter from family and friends which was all very helpful but now I have realized that I just need to make the decision and go with it! Everything has been going so good with this pregnancy and she seems so comfortable and happy where she is. I just want her to be healthy and safe so I have decided to go ahead with the C-section!

So baby Hallie will be her in 6 days!!! August 23rd! I cannot even believe this! I am down to days now not weeks! I am SO excited to finally see her and for her to be here with us! Matt and I have been trying to make sure we have everything we need and get these last minute things done and ready. I can tell I am nesting now for sure! I keep telling Matt we need to clean the house and get it all really nice and clean and organized and make sure she has everything she will need! haha Matt just keeps tell me to relax and now over do it! But I know he is freaking out just as much as me! :) It was weird today knowing this was my last doctors appointment. My doctor said ok next time I see you it will be in the hospital. WOW! So here we come ready or not! I can't even wait! I will try and post my last picture at 39 weeks before we go in! If not my next post will be with Hallie! :)

37 Weeks!

Ok here I am 37 Weeks! WOW! Only 3 more weeks! I went to the doctor last week and she is still doing really well except for the fact that she still hasn't flipped and I am getting really nervous that she wont at all. I think she is really comfortable where she is. That little stinker! Matt will have little discussions with her trying to get her to flip but she still hasn't. I think this might be a sign that she is going to be stubborn little thing. Oh geez!

The doctors still aren't worried about since they say she still could flip on her own. If she hasn't at week 39 they will try and flip her themselves OUCH that sounds like it might hurt, so I am still hoping she will do it on her by herself! If she doesn't flip then it will have to be a C-section for me... I think I will be kinda bummed if thats what happens. I really wanted to be able to try it normally. So I am trying to stay positive and not be disappointed if I have to have a C-Section. But keep your fingers crossed

Last week I also scheduled my inducement day if she doesn't come before my due date which I am not really counting on even thought I would love it if she did! So if nothing by August 31st it will be September 6th!

We are getting super excited and also a little nervous! I keep thinking what else do I need to do to get ready and do I have everything I need for when she is gets her? Matt put the car seat in the car this week, so that is weird to see that sitting there everyday. We have put the finishing touches on her room so I feel like that is ready. I guess I am just worried about the the little things that we may not have. Like I don't think I have one blanket for her! haha It is funny how stressed we get over such small things.

We also this week decided on her name! It is going to be... Hallie Tryon. No middle name just Hallie Tryon. We keep going between that or Emma. Matt really liked Emma and I loved them both but liked Hallie a little more because Emma is such a popular name right now. Matt finally told me that Hallie was growing on him and he really liked it. So there you have it we have a name!

It is such a weird feeling to know that in a few weeks our life will be SO different! We are so excited to have her join our little family. I know it is going to be such a big change and it may be difficult at times but I also think about how amazing it is going to be and after trying so hard to get to this point.

I have another Doctors appointment this week so we will see what if anything has changed. Until next time...

So a couple weeks ago my volunteer group returned from Africa! I always go to the airport to welcome them back home but this year was special because my lil sis went with the group. So it was really fun to see her come home after 2 months!

33 Weeks!

It has been so much fun to look at her pictures and hear her stories of her trip! She meet a lot of my students and friends, saw a lot of the same place I have been to, and had some of the same experiences!

Below is a video of two of my 6th graders that I taught 4 years ago that are now graduated from Jr. high. They were visiting the school that day for a sports competition and meet Hill. They knew we were sisters right off the bat. Everyone there thought we were twins! But they all knew without even asking that we were sisters! So fun!

The boy on the left is Eugene and the boy on the right is Gabriel. I taught/tutored them in science. I love these kids and was SO SO excited that they made me this little video! I haven't seen them in a couple of years now that they are graduated. It is all in Sign Language so for those of you who don't know sign language sorry! They just talk about how I came and taught them 4 years ago and helped them in their science class. Gabriel talks a little about how he hopes to go to the High School soon and want me to come back and teach him. At the end he prays for me and my family back here in America! I sure do miss them!

Date Night

So a couple weeks ago Matt and I went on a fun date to Boondocks! We had a fun time Golfing, Riding the Go Carts, and playing in the arcade! But Golfing was the best part! They have at every few holes spinning wheel that you spin and it will tell you different ways to putt. like, you have to putt backwards on that hole or be an obstacle for the other person and you can stand anywhere you want, putt without your putter, etc. We were laughing so hard! Such a fun date night!

Matt had to take score! haha but don't worry I won by one stroke! Love it! :)

30 weeks

30 weeks! I can't believe how fast this is going! I went to the Doctor yesterday and he said everything was looking Great and I was right on track for everything. Her little heartbeat is still very strong and sounds great. I love to hear that sound. Now I start going every two weeks Yippee!

Spent my birthday/ Father's day weekend at my parent's! We had a fun time and we got to talk to Hillary in Africa! It was SO fun to hear from her and get to talk to her about all she is doing! I am getting really excited for her to come back so we can hang out. We were talking about how much I have changed since she has been gone. I have gotten a lot bigger!

It was fun to share my birthday with My Dad and Matt for Father's Day! Happy Father's Day to my dad and Matt on his first Father's Day!

St. George Weekend

Well we just got back from our nice get away to St. George Last weekend! We had such a BLAST the weather was perfect and it was so relaxing! We went to dinner and a movie Thursday night, Friday we spent the day at Zions and did a few hikes and then relaxed by the hotel pool and went to dinner again. Saturday was Matt's birthday so we swam in the morning and relaxed by the pool then we headed to Vegas for Blue Man Group! I forgot my camera when we went to Vegas so sorry no pictures from Vegas. But all in all we had a great trip!

On the Riverside walk right before the Narrows. The Narrows were closed because of the water. We LOVE that walk it was very nice.

3 Years!

This weekend June 4th we celebrated our 3 year anniversary. I Can't Believe it has been 3 years! We didn't really do much that day he worked up at his parents house in their yard and I mowed and cleaned out our garage. But that night we went to dinner at Olive Garden and then went and watched the sun set at Utah Lake. This weekend we are really celebrating by going down to St. George for a 4 day weekend to celebrate our Anniversary and our Birthdays. Matt's Birthday is Saturday and mine is the 19th so we try to do something really fun for all 3 events! We both cant wait to just get away and play. I will post more pictures of that next week!

But we had a great Anniversary and I am still so in love with Matt and we are very happy! I love you So much Matt and can't wait to spend the rest of eternity with you!

It is FINALLY finished!!! and OH my HECK I LOVE it!!!! Well almost finished we need to add a little more pink to the room and some decorations. But we were up until 11:30 last night finishing the last coast on the bead board and this morning we put up the crib! We are going to pick up the chair today thank you to Aunt Kerrie (Matt's Aunt). Then we just need to get a dresser/changing table. Now if she was just here! I can't wait!

This was my last week working at Timpview High School and this week some of the faculty gave me a surprise baby shower! I was so SURPRISED! One of the teachers in Amy's class made this VERY cute "It's a Girl" sign and I love it!

She is hearing but communicates in Sign Language so I was her Signing Aide and got to go to all her classes with her. It was great job and I learned a lot ESPECIALLY Patience. Just the job to prepare me for a baby I am sure! ;)

For Mother's Day we had my family come down to our house for a BBQ since Sunday we would be spending it with Matt's family. We had a lot of fun and Matt BBQ some good hamburgers. This is what I made for my mom for Mother's Day.

We were SO surprised!!!! And SO Excited!

I LOVE this one of her little hands tucked up by her face! She was so cute and was very cooperative. She also keep opening her mouth and and sucking, it was so cute!!

It was such an amazing thing to be able to see her moving all around and kicking and it was so weird to feel her moving and seeing her move at the same time.

Also Matt and I had a bet going. I thought it was going to be a boy for sure and Matt thought/wanted a girl so we decided that who ever was right got to pick out the first outfit for the baby! Well, Matt was right and he was so excited to pick out his little girls first outfit. Well when we went to the store he couldn't decided between the two so he got her both... we are in trouble! :)

So again we are thrilled and are so excited to finally know that we are having a little girl! The doctor said everything is looking great! She is measuring at 1 lb. and she is actually measuring two days earlier than my August 31st Due date so now it is August 29th!

20 Weeks!

Last week I hit my halfway mark 20 WEEKS! I cannot believe it! I also started feeling the baby move at about 19 weeks. It was such a weird feeling and now it is constantly moving. I will be 21 weeks this Tuesday and on Friday we go to the doctor for the ultrasound where we will find out if we are having a boy or a girl! I hope this week goes by fast! I am dying! Look for a post later this week! :)

17 Weeks!!

Ok so here it is! Some people have been wanting me to start these pregnant pictures and I always told myself that I wouldn't. But whatever! I guess I will :) I had my 17 week appointment this week. I always love when I get to go to the doctor. Even though the appointments only consist of peeing in a cup and weighing my self pretty much. I always LOVE to hear that heartbeat! This week it took the doctor a minute to find the heartbeat and it scared me to death!! But then I was reassured by that fast little heartbeat! best sound in the world! After the doctor listened for a second he ask if I wanted a quick peek to see if we could see the gender! Matt wasn't with me but I still said HECK YEAH! It was so fun to see the baby!!! Last ultrasound just looked like a little blob but this time it was really fun to see the head and the back. It really looked like a baby!!! The doctor said the baby was in a breach position and my little stinker was hiding the goods behind my pelvic bone! :) Dang it!! Now I have to wait 4 more weeks to find out! Oh well it still was neat that my doctor let me see! I love that baby and cant wait for he or she to be here!! I can not believe I am almost half way done.

We Told our families back in January but I am now posting the pictures! This is how we told them:

We invited my family over for family night and told them we had a Christmas present that we had ordered and just came late. They were SO surprised!!! I Posted the video at the bottom to watch. Priceless! In the boxes were little onesies that said "I love Grandma", "I love Grandpa", and "My Aunt Rocks". They just screamed and said NO WAY!! Thats all they keep saying as they cried! It was great! After we told our families that we were pregnant we told them not to tell anyone because we wanted to wait until we had seen a doctor first. And if anyone knows my mom this was going to kill her! But we just couldn't wait to tell the family because we were so excited! We were going to wait to tell the family until we saw a doctor too but it was too hard! Especially with my mom and Hill! I am very close to them and it was killing me!

Needless to say the family is very excited for our baby to come!

A few weeks later my sister-in-law Mandy came to visit from Seattle with the Boys and we announced it to them! I Made shirts that said, "New Cousin Coming Aug. 2011". I took the boys upstairs an put them in the shirts and came down with them to show Mandy. Brad wasn't here so we took pictures and text them to him! It was so fun!

We are SO excited! We can't even believe it! I am 10 weeks along and feeling great! We have been trying now for a year and thrilled that it has happened.

We went to the doctor last week and everything is going great! You should have seen Matt's face light up when we saw the baby for the first time! When they printed out the ultrasound they gave it to Matt and he looked SO proud! I had a hard time getting a chance to look at it! haha But it sure was fun seeing the tiny heart beat!

Matt has now put the ultrasound on the fridge and I catch him staring at it every now and then! He is going to be a GREAT dad!

So there you have it! Our news is out and we can not wait! I guess now I will have a little more to blog about so you might see some new post every now and again! haha

So last time I posted we were just about to move in! haha I am horrible! But now it is Official (and has been since October). We are loving be homeowners! It is definitely a big change in cost! I dont think we will ever get use to that every month but still we are LOVING it! Here are some pictures of the house now that we have painted and decorated some what it is still a work and progress but it has come a long way!

Sorry no post last week. They have locked the doors now so we can not go in! Dang it! But that means they are almost FINISHED!! We did look in the windows and they have everything done except the sinks and the front yard landscaping. The Blinds are in and the carpet, the fixtures, and they have poured the cement for the driveway and sidewalk! Next week sometime we will do the walk through and put up the blue tape if we see bumps and scratches and things that are not right. Then they will fix em up and we should close in the next week and a half or two weeks! YAHOO!! Time to pack up the Springville apt! We will take more pictures next week when we do the walk through!

We went and looked at the house again this week. We couldn't believe how far they got this week! They are getting ready to do the stucco and they have finished putting up the dry wall this week.

We are getting so excited! I know I say that every week but it just keeps getting more and more exciting as it goes! We Can't believe how fast it is going up! This week we met and did the first walk through with Alpine Homes. This walk through they make sure the electrical and foundation is right! They also have an inspector check it off as well.

The other exciting thing is this week we locked in our interest rate!!! .... at 4.25%!!!!!!!!! That is the lowest it has been in 50 years!!! We couldn't believe it!! Now is definitely a Great time to be buying/building a house!!!

THE CABIN

Over the 24th of July we went up to my cabin with my family. This is one of our favorite places to go! We always have a lot of laughs and its always very relaxing!

... so we picked on him a little! not to mention Matt shot him in a few places with his air soft gun! haha we all thought it was hilarious but Hill didnt agree!

Las Vegas- World Deaf Expo

A couple of weeks ago I was in Vegas for our World Deaf Expo! It was a lot of fun and we had a lot of success! Meet and making contacts with people all over! Signs of Hope International is doing very well and I love being apart of this organization!

SUMMER TIME & GOOD NEWS!

So, first with the good news!!! We are going to be HOME OWNERS!!! Thats right we finally got a house! Well.... Not yet because it still needs to be built! We are so excited and also a little nervous! We have been looking at houses since January and we have even put offers in on 4 houses but nothing ever came of them because they were all Short sales and those as we all know take forever!!! So we decided to build with Alpine Homes! We found that we can build a new house for about the same as buying a preexisting home. So we are thrilled! We signed on the dotted line last week and if all goes well construction should begin the end of the month and we will move in the end of September or beginning of October! We love the neighborhood that it is in and we are going to go to the ward next week to check it out! But the neighborhood has a its own park, pavilion, basketball court, and big field. It is right down the street from our lot! The neighborhood is in Lehi just west of the new American Fork exit! So we love the location!!

This past weekend was my new nephew Charlie's Blessing!! He is SO cute and I could hold him ALL day if I could! Funny though he looks NOTHING like his older brother Johnny!

June is our big month!! We celebrated our Anniversary and both of our birthdays! Matt took me to dinner at the Roof in SLC and had flowers sent to our table! It was a fun night! Then I surprised him with our same Wedding cake! It was delivered to the Roof that day! Then I also surprised him with a nights stay at the Raddison Hotel in SLC where we stayed our first night! We had such a great time!! I love Matt SO much and cant believe it has been TWO years!!!

Overdue UPDATE!

Hey so I know I am not the world's best blogger! I know that and have accepted it! So you all should too! :)

Well since the last blog a lot has happened! Matt has GRADUATED!!!!! I am so proud of him! His company that he has been interning with for the past two years offered him a full time salary paying job! We are so excited! He has worked really hard the past two years! Now he is working on the new I-15 Core project in Utah County for the next 3 years! Yahoo for job security!

For Graduation and Christmas we went on a cruise to the CARIBBEAN where it was nice and warm!!! We had such a blast! We knew we wanted to do something really fun just the two of us to celebrate that is exactly what we did! It was such a fun vacation! I can't wait to do it again! Below are some pictures from our great trip!

We are now in the process of looking at houses! We have put in a couple offers on some houses! We are both really excited that we are in a position to buy a house right now, but the process is turning out to be quite a process! After we put in offers all we hear is it could take anywhere from 2-9 months just to hear if the banks will accept our offer! It has been really frustrating and it is definitely testing our patients! I just wish the banks would not sit on these house and make a decision! We were excited about taking advantage of the $8,000 tax credit but we have to be in contract by April 30th and close by June 30th to get it and with these banks just sitting on these house it doesn't look good! In the mean time we keep looking at houses just to keep our options open and saving money! Wish us luck! Ah!

Wow! its has been like 3 months since i have updated my blog!....Sorry! So here is an update! Life has been busy but great! Matt is just about to graduate!!! Yahoo! We are so excited I don't think it is very real to Matt yet! But it will come January when he doesn't have to pay for tuition or books! But we are really excited and to celebrate his graduation we are going on a CRUISE!!!! I can't wait we leave in January and we are going to the Western Caribbean! Neither of us have been on a cruise before so this is going to be a fun adventure! I am just hopping we are prepared and I don't get sick! So if any of you out there who are reading this and have been on a cruise before send me some helpful hints! Like things you wish you would have known before you went on a cruise!

Other than that we have been busy with school and work! I am now at SLCC in there Fast track interpreting program and I love it! I am learning a lot and hope to get my license next year! Did I mention that the program is FREE!! love it!

I also just got back from Africa a few weeks ago I went for just a week. I had a group of volunteers out there so I went to visit them and take them to the coast for a weekend trip! I was also able to meet with the headmasters at our schools and get things set up for my next group in the Summer. It was a lot of fun to see all my students again and meet more students in our new school! I cant believe how grown up they all are! I love that I have been able to watch this kids grow up! It was especially fun to see "MY" 6th grade class that i taught the first time I was there teaching. They are now all about to graduate from Jr. high! I am so proud of them and love them so much! It was a great trip since it will be the last for awhile! I am so blessed to know these people in Ghana!

I was able to go see WICKED in San Francisco while we were there for a Deaf Conference last month! It was amazing! I now want to see it again and again! Maybe next time in NYC... ;)

These billboards are all over Ghana! They LOVE Obama! Whenever I walk done the streets they see me the "American" and yell to me "OBAMA!' and I yell back "OBAMA!" and they laugh! They love it! They all believe that he is from Ghana! Obama went to Ghana a couple months ago and the whole country loved it and that is all they want to talk to me about when I am there! I hate talking politics and that is what they all would ask me about! It is funny! I had one old man come up to me in town one day while I was there and told me that if Bush was still our President then I wouldn't be able to come to Ghana anymore! haha I love them!

That is what has been happening! We are headed to Arizona tomorrow for Thanksgiving! It is Matt's side of the family's Family Reunion! Don't worry its supposed to be 80 degrees! Yippee! We are excited!

24th of July Weekend at the CABIN!

So for the 24th Matt and I went to our family cabin with the fam! We LOVE it up there!!! We did a lot of 4-wheeling, fishing, eating, games ("what's a Yamca?"-Mom .... "YMCA?"- Hillary), and a whole lot of NOTHIN! But thats the way we like it! It was a fun relaxing weekend!

Matt and I bought a new 5 man tent and a king size air mattress! We loved it!!! Although i would suggest putting up your new tent at home in the day time first before you put up a new tent in the mountains in the dark!! It is funny now but it was not so fun then!!! :) But, we slept down in the meadow from the cabin it was so nice! It rained almost every night but it was a whole lot cooler than our apartment so we were loving it!!!

Well June is a BIG month for us Tryon's! We both celebrate our birthdays and our anniversary! One week after our anniversary is Matty's birthday and then a week after that is my birthday! So we decided to go to VEGAS for the weekend! We had such a great time and it was just so fun to get away just the two of us! While we were there we went to a couple of shows. Friday night we went to the Tournament of Kings! It was a dinner and a show and we both go way into it. It was such a fun show and we even got front row seat right in the middle! Saturday night we went and saw the Terry Fator show. He is the ventriloquist that won America's Got Talent. He was hilarious and we had a blast! I hope my honey had a great birthday! I love him SO much and am so GRATEFUL for all his hard work!

Last week we were able to go to LAGOON with my family for my Grandma and Uncle's work party! It RAINED all morning so we weren't able to go to lagoon-a-beach and I was way bummed but they rain stopped for a couple hours so we could go ride some rides! We had a lot of fun even though I didn't go on a lot of rides because I get sick! I felt bad but I was REALLY happy that my awesome cousins were there to go on rides with Matt! Thanks! Tiffy, Justin, and Avery! I am not a fun lagoon date!!! But I loved hanging out with my cousins!

Yea! 1 Year ago I married the man of my DREAMS! I can not believe it has been a year already! We have had a great year! Many fun memories! I am grateful everyday that I married such a great and wonderful man! I am so grateful that we were married in the temple and that we will be together for all of ETERNITY! I am one lucky girl!!!

For our anniversary today Matt sent me beautiful FLOWERS at work! Gerber Daises my favorite! I felt so special and everyone at work thought it was so cute!!!! I love getting flowers... What girl doesn't right?!

For Matt I got him a GRILL! It is pretty small but it is perfect for us! Now Matt can be a manly man and grill for us and our friends!!!

We even saved our cake! Hahaha we both thought it was going to be gross because it was only wrapped in saran wrap! But it was DELICIOUS!!!

So I am finally posting my pictures from AFRICA! It was a great trip! We had a lot of meetings with the Government and with all the schools! All of them went great and now we have a lot to accomplish! Which we are very excited about!

I have been involved with Signs of Hope International for 2 years now and I love every minute of it! It has been SO fun to see the progress and to be able to see it first hand! I love these kids so much!

Below is a picture of this little boy I saw in the village we work in and he was so adorable! He just came up to me and held my hand as we walked around the village visiting people. When I left he gave me cutes little smile and waved good bye saying "Bye Bye Obrunie!"(Which means white person)

And this.... is the biggest Snail I have ever seen! They sale them on the side of the road to eat!!! I bought this one for $1 but I never ate it! We keep it at our house as a pet outside and the next day after they came to clean the house it was gone!... I think they stole him for their dinner! SICK!!!!!

So I am off to Africa again! I leave in the morning! This trip will be a really fast one. We are only going for a week! We have a bunch of thing to do to set up for our volunteers who are going in a week. We will also be meeting with the Ministry of Education again about our programs! Very exciting! Again I am so sad to leave Matt! That is the part I hate the most! I wish he could come with me... But Matt Started school again today! Yeah for summer school! He has a class everyday at 7 am to 10 am!! I am sorry honey! But only 4 weeks of this class, so it will all be over soon!

We finished finals last week! Finally!! I passed all my classes by the hair of my chiny chin chin so I am happy and Matt did a really good job! Only two more semesters and he is finished!!!! I cant believe it! I am so proud of him! Now lets just pray the economy gets better and he can find a job! :)

Well in other news, Matt and I are moving to SPRINGVILLE!!!! We are so excited! So if you know anyone looking for an apartment let us know! We will miss our cute little apartment! It has been so nice!

Yes I know that it has been a really long time since I have updated our blog! I get it almost everyday from my mommy! hahaha But here are some pictures of our last family event, Easter! This year mom asked us if we wanted candy in our eggs or money.... I bet you can guess what us poor college students said! Yes, we choose the money... like that was a hard decision! Anything helps these days! Well, in the Easter Egg hunt there really wasn't any rules and mom wanted us all to be as ruthless as possible!

Well Matt and I thought we had some great plans on how we would take down Hill and Andrew, come to find out they got us pretty good! Seems they had brought 8 of their own eggs full of NOTHING to hide. Well of course Matt and I found those ones and it was pretty frustrating! Then when we went inside to count our many eggs! Andrew was definitely the winner! He found the GOLDEN egg! The $20! I was a little upset and then he opened his next egg and it was a $10! What the crap.... Then the next was the last $10. So he got all the big bills! Its all good though Matt and I definitely didn't walk away with nothing!! Thanks Mom and Dad for a fun and exciting hunt! We were sad Brad, Mandy, and Johnny weren't there to share in the fun... but, that left us more money to find! hahaha I told mom that even after we all have kids we still need to have an adult hunt! But it all was a lot of fun and we were glad we were able to spend time with the family!

Christmas Came!

Ok I am a loser! It has been almost two weeks since Christmas and I haven't even put any updated our blog! I am so sorry!

Well Christmas was great! We had a lot of fun spending time with our families! My family Christmas party was a success as it is every year! We spent the night at my parents house and woke up Christmas morning and opened up presents and then ran out the door to get to Matt's families for breakfast and presents!

Christmas as the Hagen's was great!! We had a blast!! Even though it was so short! On to the Tryon's we went!!!

We spent a few day up at the Tryon's were there were a lot of fun activities! We all just hung out and played the Wii and Rock Band!!! One day we went sledding with Michelle and Trevor and Trevor would pull us up the dinky little hill we found on his four wheeler! It was so fun!

When we got back to our apartment Sunday we were excited to still have our own little Christmas together! We had wrapped presents and put them under the tree and made stockings for each other! We had so much fun! We both felt like little kids! It was really nice to come home and still have our own Christmas!

All in all we had a great first Christmas together! It has been so fun to have a break from school so we could just hang out and play together with out the stress of school! Now school starts on Wednesday and that is the same day that I am leaving to Africa for 16 days! I am really going too miss my Matty! I will write again when I get back with fun news stories and fun pictures from Ghana!!!

Christmas is Coming!

This year is mine and Matt's first Christmas together and Matt insisted that we get a real Christmas tree. So a couple of weeks ago we went out and picked our first real Christmas tree. It was so fun! Its a cute little tree and we fell in love with it! It makes our house smell so good!

We also got our cute little stockings that we hung up! Our little apartment now feels like a home with all the Christmas decorations!

Now that school is over we have been busy doing Christmas shopping and wrapping presents! It is so much fun being married and having Christmas together. Our plan is to spend our Christmas break with both families. We will spend Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas day with Matt's. Then when we get back we will have our own Christmas! It will be fun as long as I can keep Matt from trying to peek at his presents! :)

Back from DC

Well I just got back from Washington DC this week! It was great! The meeting with Peace Corp went really well. We meet with two people who were over the Ghana area. They liked our programs and are interested in working with us. We are going to meet with there in-country coordinators in Ghana when we go back in a couple of weeks. I hope it goes well.

Lincoln Memorial. We got to go site see a little before out meeting! It was so cold and rainy that we didn't really get out and walk around a lot! But we also went to the Holocaust Museum. WOW! That was really cool to see that but also really sad.

When I got home I came back to four feet of snow and a husband who was done with finals!!! It was so great! I am glad to be back and get to play and spend time with our families for Christmas break. Then in two weeks I am off again to AFRICA!!

All is going well here at the Tryon's both of us are really busy right now with finals coming up next week. We are both excited that the semester is winding down. Matt is really busy at work and with school and I am busy working two jobs and going to school. I work at the Bookstore and now I work at the Garden Path on state street in Orem, it is a little flower shop and gift shop. I love it!

Next week I am flying out to Washington DC for Signs of Hope International. We are meeting with the Peace Corp. They want to help with our programs in Africa. I really excited to meet with them and see what they can do to help us! I have never been to Washington DC before and am excited to see some sites! It will be fun. Sadly Matt will not be able to come with me this time :( He gets to stay back and finish his finals and work.

A couple of weeks ago Matt and I went with my family to dinner at the Garden at the Joseph Smith Building in SLC and walked around temple square before this comedy show we had tickets to. It was a lot of fun!

Today after church Matt and I decided to make my mom's famous pork chops and rice! Matt helped me by cooking the pork chops and i found him this cute apron. Doesn't he look so cute? I know I know I am the luckiest girl ever! :) Since I made Matt wear the cute girly apron he decided to put blue sticky tack up my noes! haha very funny. Dinner ended up turing out out great! There wasn't any big catastrophes luckily. Almost as good as mom's but I am still practicing. Matt doesn't complain... much if it turns out bad. He is pretty patient with me as I am still learning to master the cooking! I love him!

After our adventure in the kitchen, we had tithing settlement with the bishop and then we head up America Fork canyon for a nice sunday drive. Half way up the canyon we found that it was closed for the winter. Sadly we had to turn around and come back down the mountain. We still had a great time! I love Sunday drives! All in all we have had a nice relaxing Sunday together.

So I finally decided to create a blog! Everyone has been telling me do start one, so here I am! I don't really know what I am doing yet so you may have to be patient with me for a bit! :)

Matt and I are doing great! This week will be out 5 month anniversary! I can't believe it! We are still going strong and we love each other more and more everyday! School is really busy for both of us right now but it is great because we both have night classes and we finish usually at the same time! I love it!

I have also been busy decorating our cute little apartment. We are living in Orem in a Duplex. We love it! We also love our ward, we are in a family ward and Matt is the Sunday school teacher for the 16-17 year olds and I am in the nursery. I love my class but it is also very good birth control! haha
